Motive Revolutionizes Road Safety with Its First Responder Service

Motive Revolutionizes Road Safety with Its First Responder Service

Motive has introduced its innovative First Responder service, designed to enhance the speed and efficiency of assistance in serious accidents involving commercial vehicles. Powered by artificial intelligence, this system aims to save lives by promptly activating emergency services in the event of a collision.

Transforming Road Safety

The First Responder service seeks to revolutionize highway safety. Shoaib Makani, CEO and co-founder of Motive, emphasized that this technology reduces 911 response time, taking a critical step toward zero preventable accidents and safer roads. The platform accurately detects 99% of severe collisions and uploads incident footage to the cloud within just 20 seconds for immediate review by a team of more than 400 experts.

Real-Time Alerts and Monitoring

Once the accident is verified, companies receive instant alerts through the Motive app, as well as via text messages and emails. If needed, fleets can initiate live streaming from the dashboard camera to monitor the situation. The app also displays a red alert indicating potentially fatal collisions, allowing fleet managers to contact local emergency dispatchers directly, avoiding delays.

Seamless Integration with Emergency Services

Motive´s integration with RapidSOS provides dispatchers with critical information such as the driver´s identity, vehicle data, and the precise accident location, ensuring the right resources arrive quickly. More than 21,000 rapid response agencies across the U.S. already use this system, covering 99.99% of the country´s population.

According to Motive data, Christmas has the highest accident rate among U.S. holidays, followed by Martin Luther King Jr. Day and New Year´s Day. Winter conditions further increase risks, with 65.5% of holiday accidents occurring on wet or snowy roads. In 2023, commercial vehicle collisions on Christmas rose by 32% compared to the rest of the month.

Life-Saving Efficiency

Every minute reduced in emergency response time increases the survival rate by 13%. Motive´s First Responder technology not only shortens response times but also provides companies with the peace of mind that incidents are handled promptly and accurately.

Setting a New Industry Standard

This system sets a new benchmark in the transportation industry, adding an extra layer of safety for drivers and fleets in an increasingly complex and challenging environment.

This service, available on both the App Store and Google Play, is designed to enhance emergency response through the rapid detection of severe collisions and direct communication with local dispatchers. Additionally, it leverages the RapidSOS platform to share critical data and expedite assistance during emergencies.
